Remote Online Notarization, commonly called RON, online notarization, remote notarization, virtual notarization or webcam notarization, is a method of completing a notarial act when the signer and notary are not physically in the same location.
Instead of sitting across a desk from your notary, you appear before the notary using live audio-video communication technology.

For a Pennsylvania remote notary, the notary must be physically located within Pennsylvania while performing the remote notarial act.
